China’s First 8.6-Gen OLED Glass Substrate Developed by Bengbu Zhongguang Optoelectronics
Bengbu Zhongguang Optoelectronics Technology, a China-based company, has teamed up with researchers from the CNBM Glass New Materials Research Institute to develop the country’s first 8.6-Gen OLED glass substrate.

According to reports, initial samples of the 8.6-Gen glass substrate have been successfully produced on Bengbu’s production line, and the company is now prepared to commence mass production for commercial use.
The development of 8.6-Gen AMOLED production lines marks a significant step in reducing costs and increasing production capacity for IT AMOLED displays. Industry leaders like Samsung Display and BOE have already started building their own 8.6-Gen IT AMOLED lines, while Visionox is reportedly following suit. LG Display and other manufacturers are also exploring similar plans. Although there were rumors about TCL considering such a production line, the company has denied these reports.
